As a key device in the optical fiber communication network, the implementation standards of optical cable joint boxes are crucial and directly related to the stability of communication and the service life of the equipment.

In terms of performance requirements, optical cable joint boxes must be able to operate stably in a variety of environments. For example, the applicable temperature range is -20℃~+60℃ during operation and -30℃~+70℃ during transportation and storage, ensuring normal operation under different climatic conditions. It also needs to withstand a certain amount of tension and pressure. After installing the optical cable at both ends, the box is inflated with 40Kpa, and it must be able to withstand 1500N axial tension and 3000N/10cm lateral uniform pressure, and there must be no leakage, deformation, or damage after the test.

Sealing performance is also one of the key indicators. The joint box is inflated with 100Kpa, and the test temperature is from -30℃ to +60℃. It must be guaranteed to be airtight, non-deformed, and non-cracking. At the same time, it must have good sealing performance, reaching IP65 or higher protection level to prevent moisture and dust from entering.

In terms of fiber management, sufficient space must be provided to store and manage optical fibers. The lengths of coiled optical fibers and loose tube optical fibers are clearly specified, and the coiled curvature radius also has corresponding requirements to reduce signal attenuation.

In addition, corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel and engineering plastics are usually used in material selection to ensure long-term stable operation in harsh environments. In terms of implementation standards, relevant domestic and foreign standards such as GB/T 18121-2000 and IEC 60794-3-21 must be followed, with detailed specifications from structure, performance to test methods.

The strict implementation of these standards by optical cable junction boxes is the basis for ensuring the security and stable operation of optical fiber communication networks, which can effectively reduce maintenance costs and extend the service life of equipment.
